Hello all potential Green Hill Therapy Volunteers!

First, thank you for your interest in volunteering with Green Hill Therapy!  We have a variety of volunteer opportunities at Green Hill that can fit anyone’s busy schedule so you don’t have to rearrange your schedule to make a huge impact in the lives of the children we serve!

If you have not already done so, please complete our Online Volunteer Application and confirm that you wish to participate in an upcoming Volunteer Orientation.

Green Hill Therapy is passionate about our volunteer team and without their dedication to the children and our program it would be impossible to meet the needs of as many clients as we do.  Each volunteer plays an integral role in helping each child meet their therapeutic goals through the generosity of their time and talents.

We currently offer Volunteer Orientation on a monthly basis, the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m.  PLEASE CALL TO CONFIRM as we only have an orientation if there are confirmed attendees.  Orientation usually takes 30-45 minutes and includes a history and overview of Green Hill Therapy, who we serve, introduction to our horses, along with policies and procedures.  It also includes a tour of our facility.

During orientation, volunteers will be asked what areas/roles they may be interested in, such as sidewalking, horse handling (experience required), barn chores, special events, etc.  Further training specific to that role(s) will be scheduled.  Volunteers will also be asked if there are specific days/times preferred so scheduling will be consistent and based on need.

During orientation, you may get dusty and your shoes may get wet or muddy, so please dress appropriately along with dressing for the weather.  Layers are best and closed toed shoes are required.

Again, thank you for your interest in joining our volunteer team.  If at any time you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I am happy to help.  We look forward to meeting getting to know you better!
